Set a start and end date, and this tool picks a completely random calendar date somewhere in between, shown in a clear readable format along with the day of the week. It is genuinely useful for a range of tasks: generating test data for software, sampling records for an audit, choosing a random day for a writing or history prompt, or simply settling on a date for an event when any day in a window will do. By default the range spans a full century, but you can narrow it to any period you like. The date is chosen using your browser secure random source, so every day in the range has an equal chance. Everything runs locally in your browser, so the dates you generate stay private and nothing is stored.
